The job market is changing drastically, so it is essential to quickly understand what are the main changes that are occurring and to adapt quickly to them. New careers and functions are emerging to replace others that do not yet exist, and this is also because of the new realities that dominate the current job market.

A good example of the emergence of new careers and new functions in the current job market is social media.

What is social media?

Social media is a group of online communication channels dedicated to input, interactions, content sharing and collaboration within the community.

It is one of the most important channels for companies to achieve a high level of brand recognition, have market power and be successful with their customers.

Some types of social media are as follows.

– Facebook is a popular social network that allows its registered users to create profiles, upload photos and videos, send messages and stay connected with friends, family and colleagues.

– Twitter is a microblogging service. Free that allows registered members to broadcast short messages known as tweets. Twitter members can stream tweets and follow other users’ tweets using multiple platforms and devices.

– Google+ (read Google plus) is Google’s social networking project, designed to simulate the way people interact offline, rather than on other social networking services.

– Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia of free content founded in collaboration with a community of users known as Wikipedians. On this site, anyone with a record can create an article to be published. No registration is required to edit Wikipedia articles. Founded in January 2001.

– LinkedIn is a social networking site developed especially for the business community. The purpose of the site is for registered members to create and save a professional network of people they know and verify.

– Reddit is a social news site and forum organized and promoted by members of the site. The site is made up of hundreds of subcommunities called “subreddits”.

Reddit members, also known as “redditors”, submit content that other members have voted for. The goal is to send a well thought out story to the top of the site’s main discussion page.

– Pinterest is a social networking site for sharing and categorizing images that you find online. The interest requires a brief description, but the main focus of the site is the images.

Social media has become an integral part of online life, as social sites and apps are ubiquitous. In business, social media is used to market products, promote brands, connect with current customers and promote new businesses.

Social Media Marketing leverages social media to help companies increase their brand exposure and expand their reach to customers. Basically, the goal is to create content that is attractive enough for users to share on their social networks.

How to build social media in your content marketing process?

While social media and content marketing may look the same. But they are very different. Although it might be a coincidence But the easiest way to think about your relationship is that content is essential to drive social media, while social media is more important during the two main content marketing processes.

– Listening to your audience to understand what is important to them so you can create content that they find interesting and relevant that will help to have more results.

– Publishing content from your business, which is extremely important as millions of people are already on social networks. Social media is now an integral part of human life, which also influences purchasing decisions.

In short, you can’t have it without someone else, because they are both essential to your company’s success and good results.

While any company can (and should) use social networks to expand communication and be “heard”, it is important to set up (or build) a structure so that this investment has a higher return. Some of the key points of this planning:

– Having a blog or website should be a central component of your content marketing strategy. (Just like with your social media strategy) as this is where you will guide your followers to gain deeper relationships on the media platforms you own. You must stop building your content on the leased land.

– Adequate resources to maintain a consistent presence: Having an outdated state on social platforms seems to be worse than not being there. Before agreeing to the platform, make sure you have the resources you need to update your content.

– Content plan: You need to understand why you are communicating on a particular platform and what you are going to deliver.
